Hi there,

The "Videos Page" template will grab ALL video posts (i.e. posts with the "Video" post format selected). It's not intended to function as a specific category of videos. Since this theme was designed as an "Official Movie" site, the videos page is meant to showcase all videos related to the main movie/film.

Hope that helps explain the setup.

Best,

How does a page grab the correct post information? I'm still very confused.
I have made several video template *posts* and included the appropriate youtube end code.
I then go to create a page. I select video template.... how does it know what post I want for this video template page?

Hi there,

The video page template displays posts with the "Video" post type assigned. It then looks at each of these posts for the video information provided in the post options box on the POST edit page.

Please let me know if that clarification helps.

I just want to add that perhaps me and this person (http://www.themolitor.com/forums/topic/full-screen-videos#post-37844) are having the same problem. I don't see url fields available under page content, just post content.

Is there a way for me to send screen shots of my problem(s)?

I don't have a post options box below the main content box - I have that for my "posts" but not my "pages"
I want to have full page videos (like the video page template) to be the look/style of my main pages.

Hi there,

The Video Page template uses the video information provided in the Post Options box below the main content box. DO NOT use embed codes. VYSUAL does not display embed codes in the post content from the Video Page template.

Please let me know if that helps.

Best,

Hi, I thought I had this correct before, but I apparently do not.

I have several pages which I would like set up as the full-screen video page. Each video page features a different man; Stan, Alan & Harold.

I have made a post for each video.

I then embedded the different video embed codes into each page. I'm using the text editor, not the visual.
I have three pages:

http://inmywildestdreams.org/alan-kirshner/
i have the video page template selected and the code in the back of this is: [embed]https://youtu.be/RPGK8-T1icc[/embed]

http://inmywildestdreams.org/stan-goldberg/
i have the video page template selected and the code in the back of this is: [embed]https://youtu.be/P8hR3vFsemI[/embed]

http://inmywildestdreams.org/harold-breene/
i have the video page template selected and the code in the back of this is [embed]https://youtu.be/P8hR3vFsemI[/embed]

However, no matter who I navigate to, and the url changes appropriately, I get the same video of Stan.. not Alan or Harold.

Please shed some light on what might be going wrong?
