Ok. That's how i managed to make different pages with different videos.

1. Edit page-videos.php
2. Add this code:

$my_cat = get_post_field('post_content', get_the_ID());
query_posts('category_name='.$my_cat);

BEFORE

if (have_posts()) : while (have_posts()) : the_post();

//VAR SETUP

3. Add video posts with different categories (EX: video_vfx, normal_videos, etc)

4. When you create a video page (review or normal video), add the name of post category in the page body

That's it.

That page will have only videos from specific categories.

Hi there,

Currently the category page layout ("Videos 2" from demo site) is the intended method for displaying a selection of specific videos.

I always try to make sure buyers are informed about the capabilities of the theme prior to purchase. This is mentioned in the walk-though video as to avoid confusion.

To add category control to the videos page template will require custom development and testing. For requests like this I'll have to ask that you submit a customization request here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Best,

So... what you are saying is that I brought the wrong theme? I thought that it is at last a "little" customizable, not minimal... Making pages with different videos is vital for a website. If i want to make a film campaign, I will made at last 2-3 pages with different videos:

1. The original movie
2. Behind the scenes VFX
3. Funny parts

So, if it easy coding, can you please tell me how can i trick the video page to get categories instead all of the posts?

Thank you!

Hi there,

VYSUAL is really fashioned after the "official site" approach you see across the internet. As a result, the videos page template does not currently support a category-specific feature as it was designed to show all videos for the film campaign.

Best,

Hi there,

Currently the "videos 1" page template displays a link to all video posts as there is not a category-specific option setting for that page tempalte. The category page (i.e. "Videos 2"), on the other hand, is the best way to display specific posts form a specific category.

Hope that helps!

Best,
