Hi there,

What I mean is to try adding posts that don't have the slider category you created assigned to them. In other words, make some non-slider posts and see if that addresses the not found issue.

Regarding the Not Found message, make sure you have posts that don't sit in the slider. To prevent duplicate content, posts that appear in the slider do not appear in the post list below.

To illuminate further, I was hoping to have the first image be the welcome pic, with some info in the post below. The subsequent images would be the top deals available. For instance I might program the slider to hold five images. The first is the logo/home page info and the rest would just be feature pics in the slider the user could click on to get more info.

Okay! I think I figured out what you meant and sorta got it working -- but now for each image it says:

"Not Found - Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here"

Hi there,

You just need to create posts with a featured image or video, assign them to a category like "slider", and then assign that category in your theme options for the slider.

Does it happen in APPEARANCE > MENUS?

Or does it happen in APPEARANCE > THEME OPTIONS > SLIDER?

I'm sort of afraid to try anything for fear of messing it up...

Is it possible to have slider images without it updating the home page? I want to set it up so you can click the pic to get to the relevant page, but not have the main page update every time I add an image to the slider...
