Hi there,

To clarify the "review + video" template, it does NOT use any of the page content on the home page. The "review + video" template pulls the latest video formatted post and displays recent quote formatted posts. Make sure you have some video and quote formatted posts published when using that page template.

More info about post format: http://themolitor.com/help/vysual/#postoformats

More info about "review + video" template: http://themolitor.com/help/vysual/#templates

Regarding "the blog page", that is a category of posts (NOT a standard page).

Regarding "video 1", that is a page with the "videos" page template assigned. "video 2" is a category of posts.

Please let me know if that helps.

Best,

Christopher

Hi,

I've sorted out some of the problems that I was having....for example, I uploaded the video and activated it through CPanel like you said, however there is without a doubt something wrong with the version I have as it is incomplete. I'm not sure if it was because I had to upload the theme via CPanel as well as when I'd try to do it the normal way, it would upload to 99% and then say I couldn't do it.

But the fact is that there are choices missing. For example, there is no option to add a trailer/video to the home page to play when you click the button, like on your example page. The only page option that works is the default one. When I choose on of the others, for example video + review, the page is just blank when I preview it....... no video, no comment, even though I've clearly inserted a video into the page when making it.

Another problem is the blog page. When I go to it to edit, it won't open and just says that this page is currently being edited. The only way I've gotten around this is by not nominating the NEWS page as a post page and then manually adding the link of a post into it, which kinda does the job but doesn't look that pleasing. The aside format doesn't work and in fact, I can only get the page to scroll vertically, not horizontally as in your example. And I also dont have pages Video 1 and Video 2 like another user has stated.

Could you please have a look at my page and you'll see what I mean? If you let me know your email, I can send you my passwords so that you can have a look at the back end.

Thanks, Esther

Hi there,

I'm not sure you can access files via the media library when uploaded manually. The file didn't go through the WordPress upload "process", so my best suggestion is to create a "videos" directory in your root domain and just access the video URL like this...

http://www.refractionthemovie.com/videos/my-video-url-example.mp4

Regarding site options, it should all be there. Be sure to review the help file for details and let me know if you still have trouble: http://www.themolitor.com/help/vysual/

Best,

Hi,
I'm having trouble with this theme. I've been working on it for a little while and when it came time to upload a video for a video background, we first ran into trouble as it wouldn't allow us to upload files larger than 2MB. We got around this by uploading via CPanel, but can't find the video we wanted anywhere in the media library. My partner who was uploading it for me said that it should be in the file with the other demo videos and that's when I realised that I didn't have any demo video files. I went back and looked at the live preview on ThemeForest and realised that quite a few things are different. For example, in addition to not having the option of video background with the play button in the middle, I didn't have an option for the cast and crew page to look that way with the pictures and info scrolling horizontally. Also I can't put the quotes down in the lower corner of the landing page, even though I tried as it said on your explainer video using a quote post. Can you please help! We are having our premiere this Saturday so I need it solved by then. The website is http://www.refractionthemovie.com
I can give you login details via email if necessary.
Thanks,
Esther de Schone
