I haven't tried a plugin for this as creating child themes is prety be straight forward. There's only one real way to create a child theme, so you can use that resource if it's easy for you to follow.

There is a slideshow feature for the header images. Be sure to review the "header images" section on the Customize page. There you can do the following...

1. Turn on/off the slideshow.

2. Specify the pause time for each image.

3. Specify how much color overlay you want via transparency setting.

4. Specify the color you want to overlay the images (help with readability of text).

5. Finally you can upload images, which are all used for the slideshow feature.

Also, is it possible to set the global header image as one thing, then be able to upload a featured image that would then become the header for that particular page or post? In otherwords, is it possible to overwrite the global header image based on a particular page/post?

Ok, great. You were right. It was a conflict with a plugin called "Widgetkit." Thanks for all the other info! I'm almost set.

Question: Just to confirm from one of your previous answers. There is no way to have the header image rotate to another header image right? I see the option to "Randomize" but no option to "Rotate." If this isn't possible, would you consider adding this in the future?

Hi there,

1. The menu link is located in header.php on line 77...

2. You would need to create a custom page template to display a video along with page content.

3. Hosting shouldn't have any impact on this. Issues would likely be related to a script conflict. Try deactivating plugins to see if that has any impact.

Just a few more questions, and I'll get our of your hair!

1. Where in the code could I put a link directly to the left of the menu icon? I'd like a "Buy Tickets" link, and I'm guessing I would have to edit the code.

2. I like the video option on the homepage, but I'd also like some content placed below the video. Would this be done by editing to code or another way? I noticed that the homepage content does not display on the homepage.

3. I'm still noticing the video only showing some of the time. It looks like if I manually refresh ctrl F5, it does not show, but when I use the site navigation, it shows. Is this a possible javascript conflict? Have you experienced any issues w/ the Godaddy wordpress hosting.

You can copy/paste that into your Custom CSS box on the Customize page and make edits there.

2. That is not currently built-in theme option.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I thought the video was pulling from a post, but it is actually pulling from the embed directly on the homepage. When I added the embed code to the page: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/0jvCfZGoOYE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

The video slider was working as expected. I do have a few additional questions, if you don't mind:

1. I noticed that the content pages are very skinny. It looks as if it's restricting the mobile size on a desktop. Is there a way to make the desktop page width a bit wider?

2. I love the slider function on the homepage. Is it possible to have: Slide 1 = Video, Slide 2 = Image, Slide 3 = Image ?

Great looking theme, but I can't seem to get the homepage video to play. I've tried creating a new post and setting the post type to video. I then added the youtube video ID, but it still doesn't recognize. it.

Strangely enough, I was able to get the video play button to work on another page without trying:

After looking at the theme install guide, I still can't figure it out. I've changed the homepage template to a few different options, but still no luck.
