Hi there,

You need to have at least 2 posts for the home page. 1 "video" post for the video/play button and 1 "quote" post for the reviews section (i.e. title/content).

Actually, I want it like the Home page in the preview. Everything appears to be working properly except I am not getting the play button. Correct me if I'm wrong but if the Home page is set to "Reviews + Video", I should have the title/content and a play button. The post is set to "quote." I've read the documentation and set it up the same way the Home page is set up on the preview. Is there anything that would prevent the play button from appearing?

Hi there,

Video posts = play button

Quote posts = title/content

The "Reviews + Video" template displays a link to the video post via play button. The title/content in the lower-right corner is for the quote posts.

It sounds like you're expecting the video post to work with the play button AND the title/content. If you want that, you'll want to use the "videos page" template.

Thanks Chris,

I've tried every combination and still can't get the play button and the post title/content to appear on the Home page. It's either one or the other.

1. The Home Page is set as the Front Page assigned as static and is set to Reviews + Video.
2. The post is sticky and if it is in the "Video" format it will display the play button only on the home page. If in the "Quote" format, it will display the post title/content only. I can't get both to appear.

Any other thoughts?

Just to clarify, the "reviews + videos" template displays posts with the "quote" post format assigned in the lower right corner with title/content information.

I have followed the instructions to display the home page the same as the demo however, I'm not getting the post title and content to appear.

1. I have my Home Page set as the Front Page and it is set to "Reviews + Video".

The post should appear with a play icon and the title/content in the lower right corner. I get the play button but not the post title/content.
