Yes,

This was the page I was referring to in the documentation. I guess I am pretty used to using the library in a "regular" way and it threw me for a bit that I had to Create the gallery page and attach/upload the images at the time you create it.

What happened with me is that I would create the page and then want to make changes and then had to recreate the page rather than EDIT the page.

Long story short, plan your gallery pages and prepare and upload the images you want, arrange the order at the time you create the page as well.

David

PS: I got rid of jetpack and the site runs much smoother without it.

Thanks for the clarity. It took me a moment to figure that out. It might not be a bad thing to add to the documentation as it did throw me for a moment.

Thanks again!

Hi there,

Thanks for following up!

Just to clarify, you need to upload the images to the post/page you want them to appear on. When images get uploaded, they are "attached" to the post/page they were uploaded from. This is why you were not able to use images that were previously uploaded (they were not attached to the post).

You do NOT need to insert the images.

Hope that helps!

Best,

Christopher

Just a quick update as I feel I resolved this issue.

It turns out the page will not display correctly unless the photos are uploaded and inserted at the same time. When I was attempting to use photos that were already uploaded to the media library, some sort of link was broken and the images did not display. If I however, upload and insert the photos to a post at the same time, the page then displays in the theme correctly.

Many thanks,

David

Hi Chris,

Great theme. I'm having a slight problem with the gallery pages.

Is it possible to have more than one?

When I create a new page from scratch, add my gallery and save the page and make the page a menu item, it does n it display at all. The XML template files load perfectly. I've trying cloning and duplicating page Does work, but when I create a gallery page as an ad new, the gallery can be uploaded and seen on the initial page, but not on any other gallery
