Justin,

Changed it to http:# instead of http://# and it appears to work okay now. (Left off the two forward slashes.)

Justin,

I did as you instructed... now when I click on the top level menu option I get a page that shows the following URL in the address bar:

http:/#

note that it only has one forward slash instead of two even though it does show: http://# (with two forward slashes) in the URL setting for the Custom Link. This is the content of the page that it displays:

Not Found

The requested URL / was not found on this server.

Apache/2.2.21 (Unix) DAV/2 Server at localhost Port 80

Create a Custom URL for your main navigation item. Where it says "URL" put in "http://#". Then, add your sub-menu items under that... when a user clicks, it should function just like the demo.

Good luck!
Justin

I have created a drop down menu. The menu works just fine if I hover over the main level menu option and then slide down and select the submenu item. However if I happen to click on the top level menu item instead of just hover over it, it brings me to a different page. The demo version of Politico does not do that. It just swallows the click and goes no where. I want it function like the demo. How do I make the top level menu item not respond to the click?
