Regarding the front-end submission form, only categories that have published posts/events will display as an option.

In other words, if you create a category and there are NO posts/events assigned to it, that category will not display as a form option.

Categories are a basic feature of WordPress and can be created two ways...

(1) From the WordPress dashboard, navigate to Posts > Categories > Add new category
(2) From a post/event edit page, simply click "+ Add New Category " in the categories box.

Regarding support, I try to provide as much detail as I think is necessary. I'm also happy to help with specific questions about the theme, but please keep in mind my services do not include WordPress training. If you're having trouble creating categories, which are a very basic feature of WordPress (not theme specific), I strongly recommend visiting the official WordPress Codex to learn more:

Regarding refunds, please note those are not issued when software has been downloaded and there are no existing issues with the theme. I strongly feel Eventure is one of my most simplest themes to manage, so I'm concerned your frustrations are largely related to not having full knowledge of WordPress.

I don't see anywhere I could create any new categories, the only category it has over there is "uncategorized", don't see where to add new category that we need. also if I clicked on "Front-end Submission Form" the only opinion it showed me over there is a checkbox "Send email notice" and the "Email notice goes to" with a text box to fill in the email address. This ADMIN looks really odd...Is the theme installed already have some issues???...If you need, I can simply provide the URL and credentials for you to login to the Admin and take a look. It's very difficulty for me to report the issue by describing like this as we can't even attach the screenshots to you, and always have to wait a while for you to reply, also your response don't provide us very detailed step...If I have much more time I can wait and work with you, but my client really needs this site to be set up and implemented soon...Well, if she can't wait any longer, can I just request a refund for this theme and go with another theme???... Let me go ahead and send you the admin URL and the credential and you can take a look then let me know in email. If tomorrow you can provide the really helpful instructions for me to make the site set up like what it was in you demo, please do. Otherwise, please let me know too as I think my client probably wants me to get a refund for this theme and just go with another one.. Sorry about the time frame and thank you for your help!!

Hi there,

To create an event...

(1) create a post.

(2) assign a specific category (i.e. "events") to the new post.

(3) on the customize page, there's a "general" section where you can specify an "Events Category". That is where you select the main "events" category you created in step 2.

To create a slider item...

(1) Choose an event post and add a specific category (i.e. "featured") to the post.

(2) There's a "Slider Settings" section on the customize page where you can select a "Slider Category". Select the category you created for the featured item.

Hi there,

For both the main slider and the calendar feature you need to do the following...

1. Create an "event" category.

2. Create a "featured" category.

3. Assign posts to categories as applicable.

4. On the customize page, (1) assign event category as main calendar category and (2) assign featured category as main slider category.
