Fried Rice

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cold white rice
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 of small white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely grated carrot
  • 1 sprig greenonion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 tablespoons of soy sauce (more to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 garlic clove pressed through galic press
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • salt and pepper to tast

Directions

  1. In a large nonstick pan, heat oil and add onion, green onion and carrot.
  2. Saute for two minutes on high heat and add rice, stirring continually.
  3. When heated thoroughly, move rice to side of pan and add egg and scramble.
  4. When egg is cooked, stir into rice and add soy sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, seeds, butter ans soy sauce.
