Ingredients
- 1 12 ounce bag of fresh raw cranberries
- 3/4 cup dry sour cherries (usually just called dried cherries, in the Craisin aisle)
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup raspberry freezer jam
- 2/3 cup water
- 3 tablespoons spiced rum (I use Captain Morgan’s, but this is ok to omit)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in large saucepan and simmer over medium heat until cranberries start to pop – about 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat and bring to a slow simmer and continue to cook, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in rum.
- Refrigerate overnight to thicken sauce.
