Ingredients
- 1 cup sifted flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
- Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a medium bowl.
- In a smaller separate bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs and melted butter together; add to dry ingredients.
- Over medium high heat, pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto greased skillet.
- Once bubbles form, about 2 or 3 minutes, flip pancake quickly and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Serve immediately with butter and maple syrup.
- Optional: To add fruit to your pancakes, wait until pancake is poured and immediately add sliced bananas, blueberries or the fruit of your choice.
