Buttermilk Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. In a smaller separate bowl, mix buttermilk, eggs and melted butter together; add to dry ingredients.
  3. Over medium high heat, pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto greased skillet.
  4. Once bubbles form, about 2 or 3 minutes, flip pancake quickly and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  5. Serve immediately with butter and maple syrup.
  6. Optional: To add fruit to your pancakes, wait until pancake is poured and immediately add sliced bananas, blueberries or the fruit of your choice.
