Hi there,

The gallery layout, as showcased on the demo site, doesn't use captions as the masonry structure and method for which the images are loaded automatically make it complicated to integrate captions into the layout.

A lot of users simply reference the images in the post content area like this...

1. Photo 1 name / Photographer 1 name
2. Photo 2 name / Photographer 2 name
3. Photo 3 name / Photographer 3 name
4. Photo 4 name / Photographer 4 name
5. Photo 5 name / Photographer 5 name
6. Photo 6 name / Photographer 6 name

But I really need captions to explain each photos and tell to which designer they come from what is the name of the style.

Hi there,

1a. When you click the image on the page, the size of the image in the pop-up is dependent on the size of your browser window. For me, my browser window fills the screen so the image is fairly large. When I click the cross you're referring to, the pop-up displays the full size image that you uploaded. It's recommend that you prep your images for the web as you really don't need to have images that large on your server.

1b. To clarify, you don't need to insert the images into the post content area. Just upload them and the theme will generate the gallery for you. Go ahead and remove the images from your post text box.

Regarding the zoom cross, it only appears if the pop-up system has to shrink the image to fit your browser window. If no shrinking is necessary, then the pop-up system will not display the zoom cross as you're viewing the full size of the image. In other words, if you don't see it, that means you're viewing the full size of the image that you uploaded.

2. Captions are not a supported feature for how the gallery system currently functions.

3. To change the image order, make sure you select "view images uploaded to post" in the select box of the add media pop-up window and click/drag the images in the position you want. Example: http://www.themolitor.com/help/kitchen/images/change_order.png

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

Hi there,

Sorry for my english, i use to speak french but anyway... i'll do my best.

I have purchased the theme at the beginning of the year. I like it a lot, but i still find some issues with it because i'm not very keen in code and html etc. So i dont know what am i doing wrong

my website: http://www.parisunderwear.fr , i use wordpress 3.6

1a/ Zoom image issue:
if you go to my ATELIER LOOKS menu when clicking on the first post, the size of the image inside is too small for my visitors. It is a medium size i guess so a larger image would be quite useful. But by clicking on the cross that appears at the right top of the image, the zoom is wayyyy too large. Its bigger than the actual screen of my PC.

1b/Second zoom image issue
when you go the menu: TENDANCES AUTOMNE-HIVER [password:chris molitor], on each post, i made test image gallery. The zoom cross doesnt appear in the image of the galleries.

2/ Caption issue
If you stay in one post of that same menu TENDANCES AUTOMNE-HIVER, you can see that the captions i added in wordpress don't appear in the gallery below each image.
Given that i want to explain each image by a small caption its quite annoying.

3/ Gallery order
when i upload the image to make a gallery the order is good in back office but on the website it's disordered :(. That's why i insert the gallery on the post to go back when i want and fix problems but it's not fixed yet...

Please i need help!
Thank u
