Hi Christopher.
You're certainly right, this is probably my Dreamhost WP install/service that should have some issue indeed.
Thank you.

Hi there,

I'm not able to recreate this issue on my end. I'm not sure why this would happen for you as I've not see or heard of this issue before. Maybe you're experiencing a memory limit on your hosting account? I can't really say.

Keep in mind you can manual control that via the "Custom Fields" window on the post edit screen. If you don't see it at first, click "screen options" in the upper right corner and click the checkbox to activate the "Custom Fields" window.

Let me know if editing the value there helps.

Best,

Christopher

Yep sorry that was not very clear. Basically what I do:

— I create a video post with a youtube video ID #1 attached to it
— I publish it
— I then edit this post to change the youtube ID to video ID #2
— I update/publish it again —› as soon as I push the update button the ID field goes back to #1

... as if that field was locked forever.

This bug is not 100% reproducible but 30% (nonetheless) on my side.

Hi there,

I'm not sure this is a theme-related issue, but can you please clarify the process you're taking? (i.e. step 1, step 2, etc.).

I'll try it on my end.

Best,

Christopher

Once you've set a youtube_id (should it be blank or not) one time, you can't update it. Once the update button is pressed the field will go back to its initial state . I had to update it manualy inside the mysql datatbase, because for some reason I didn't understand if you suppress the post, empty the trash, then create a new one (with same title) the issue remains. I don't know if this is a wordpress or themerealted bug, but this is a serious issue. I'm hosted by Dreamhost, website here: http://foxy.city and the culprit was "THE BEST ÉCLAIR AU CAFÉ IN PARIS" page.
