Hi there,

No worries :-) I appreciate the follow up.

There are a lot of resources online. I really encourage you to do Google searches to look for something specific. Just be sure to include "WordPress" in your search to make sure it's relevant to what you need.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris. My apologies for my tone and yes, you are 100% correct in everything you stated. Absolutely no argument from me. Just dealing with an immense amount of pressure and frustration, which is not your fault, nor your responsibility to allay. Totally a WP issue and nothing to do with your beautiful theme.

While I appreciate the video you so kindly provided, I’m sorry to say that I was not able to gain any insight as to how I create new pages that I could name myself and define what type of page it would be. This video showed names of pages to choose from, from an automatically generated list. I can’t grasp what’s going on, here.

This is not meant as any sort of excuse, but more of an explanation. I'm a totally-disabled vet with some brain damage. Things which are simple for others can be a Rubiks cube for me. I have, over the past couple of months been ripped-off for close to $2000 by WP developers who were going to "help a disabled vet," and then after getting paid a hefty down payment, disappeared. Can you believe that? And I’m no babe in the woods. And here, all this time, I thought that I was a good salesman. lol This is why I really need to do this on my own. These people were heartless and if I get ripped-off again, I'm afraid I will lose what little regard I have for mankind, remaining. Not to mention the added nicety of watching my world crumble from taking such a devastating financial hit. That was a princely sum to me. And these were NOT from overseas. Proud Americans, they were. Just like many of the veterans charities where 98% of the money is pocketed by the creators of the non-profits. How can people rip off veterans. Someone please explain this to me before I lose my mind. Oh, wait - that ship has already sailed. OK. End of soap box rant. Unfortunately, while I may be homebound, I can be unleashed on the poor souls on the Interwebs. Today was your lucky day. lol

I will try to find a WP person that can help me create a menu and pages so I can begin to put the theme to good use.

Again, Chris - I do apologize for all of this. Had I been able to delete the post, I would have. I did regret it, afterwards. Time to up my meds. :-)

Oh - thanks for not responding in a like manner. Your restraint, as well as all the assistance provided, after my total lack of good manners is truly unusual display of patience and kindness.

Cheers. - Frank

Hi there,

For future reference, if WordPress changes a core feature, it's important to utilize the official support channels for WordPress if you need more info - http://wordpress.org/support - and not completely depend on theme documentation. Theme documentation is really intended to highlight THEME-SPECIFIC features and is NOT meant as a WordPress tutorial for core features.

Version 3.6 was just released and updated the menu feature of WordPress. The changes are mainly visual as the core features are still the same.

I'm sure you can appreciate that I'm not able to completely redo my walk-through videos (30+) every time WordPress changes the way certain features look. My videos are really just meant to go over theme-specific features, but I also go over core WordPress features as an added bonus. Learning how to use WordPress is really up to you.

For details about the new WordPress menu system, check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O59PwSMxBR8

I also recommend just doing a Google search to find more resources: http://tinyurl.com/lz7up5u

Again, just to emphasize, it is NOT the responsibility of the theme author to teach or provide instructions for using core WordPress features.

Hope that explains things better.

Best,

Chris

Greetings. I just purchased this theme because I thought it would be fairly easy to set-up. Wrong!!! none of your videos show what I see on screen and I am unable to even configure a menu. I'm sure the video was great for a previous version of WP, but the menu video is of no help and the printed documentation doesn't match what I see either.

I need real help or a fast refund so I can buy something that I can use. A great theme with poor documentation winds up being a mediocre theme. I realize the new WP is just days old, but we need a plan to address. I'm tired of developers thinking that were all as knowledgeable as they are. I'm not,

Please help me set-up my menus with accurate documentation that matches what I see on screen. What I see is not even remotely close.

TYVM. - Frank
