Scratch that. I uploaded it directly to GoDaddy, instead of uploading it via wordpress dashboard. Worked fine.

zip file gets all the way to 99% uploaded (both in Chrome and Safari - I'm on a Mac) and then I get a wordpress failure notice, with the prompt, "are you sure you want to do this? and then the only option is to click a link in that window that says "try again."

Thoughts?
