That's correct. This is true for all WordPress themes. The content is stored and loaded from your WordPress database, so you need to have content in your database to show on the front-end of the site.

A demo content XML file is included with your download files if you want some content to help get started. Just upload the XML file from your "tools" > "import" field.

Even still, additional steps are required. Again, this isn't anything unique to this theme. It's just how it is with WordPress themes.

Thanks. So the deal is the theme doesn't install as it appears - there's work to be done to make it look like it does [ http://www.themolitor.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/aid.jpg ].

Looks like you're able to install the theme just fine. Don't forget to review the options on the customizer page located at "appearance" > "customize".

The most up-to-date version of the theme is on your downloads page. In other words, the link to download will always link to the latest version available.

I'll be sure to check this thread later tonight, but for now I need to go pick up my kids :-)

Hello, pleeeeease stay with me as I will be at the computer trying to get the theme up a and running. First off, the "update" on (my) download page there is no such link, only the link to the file for download. I will send from my email for screen shots. But if i dont have the updated one or can even tell if its the updated one, maybe we can start there....

Unfortunately I don't have the bandwidth to provide that type of support, but we can work through this here in the forums :-)...

Please make sure you're working with the latest version of the theme. If you're working with a version from around a year ago, it definitely isn't compatible with 3.6 (there have been approximately 4 or 5 updates since then).

I can confirm the latest version works just fine in 3.6.

Once you have the latest version downloaded from ThemeForest (avaialable on your downloads page), open up the "aid_files_1.4.0.zip" file. Inside you'll see another zip files titled "wpaid.zip". That is the zip file you can upload to your WordPress installation from the upload page on your dashboard.

Try that and let me know if it works for you.

Hello, thanks for replying ;-)... Yes I can describe that it has NEVER worked 1,000 hours later and a few web techs and a few hundred dollars... First off I have never got PAST the installation.... It simply does not instal and this is almost a year later. I am up against the clock with some people trying to steal my parents church. I don't have another year trying to figure out whats wrong. Could you please "share my screen" and instal so I could at least imagine completing the project, before they are successful ?
This is the quickest way to nail the problem, first hand...

1. You are important to me :-)

2. I can confirm Aid works with WordPress 3.6.

3. You mentioned the help file was broken. Was it not displaying correctly? If so, there's an online version here: http://themolitor.com/help/wpaid

4. Make sure you're using the latest version of the theme. Currently it's v1.4.0 and was updated September 6th, 2013. You can grab it from your downloads page on ThemeForest.

5. Can you describe what happens when you try to install/upload the theme?

I have had (2) tech's explain to me the tat AID theme is outdated and will NEVER install right. I have purchased before and spent days, months, and never getting the Theme installed. I know im only one person and probably not important to you, nut this is very frustrating especially when I am trying to save a good cause. Please advise with specific directions as to how to fix this problem. Of course I have FOLLOWED the broken theme guide. Please HELP SOON!
