<p>I just did a test with importing demo content on 3.5 and didn't have any issues. It may be a hosting issue or memory usage on your WordPress installation. I'm not entirely sure as that stuff goes a bit beyond my knowledge. </p>
<p>I can verify this is not a theme-related issue or something to do with the demo XML file, though.</p>

			<description><p>It was like a partial import, no media added, no posts, no pages, but categories, and media entrys (without objects: images or sound files).</p>
<p>I'm finding my way to build the appereance, adding content without major problems, Except it seem it is not taking the default background and/or the background fails to load properly when the browser window is not in fullscreen mode (resizing the window make the image appear, I use Firefox).</p>
