thank you for your help so far, I've done as per your instructions above - I've applied the category of 'photography' to all of the 'australia' and 'europe' posts, but still no luck. The 4 'slider' posts are still showing up on the 'photography' page.

Do you know another way this could be done?

For the "Photography" page, try using a category name "Photography" that contains all the posts in the "Europe" and "Australia" category.

I checked and haven't able to find any errors in category names, heres my site if you want to have a look - http://kellykingston.com.au

So the issue is the 'Photography' page (which only has the categories 'Europe' and 'Australia') are showing 4 images that are used in the slider (the 4 images at the bottom of the Photography page). These 4 slider images only have the category set as 'slider' as I don't want them to appear in the photography page.

It sounds like you might have entered the category name incorrectly if posts are showing that aren't in that category.

If you continue to have trouble, can you provide a link to your site? It would help me troubleshoot the issue.

Hi,

Is there a way I can stop the slider posts from appearing in my portfolio?

The images in my home slider only have the category set as 'slider,' and my portfolio is set up as a page with only the categories 'Australia' and 'Europe' specified in the custom fields area.
