Did you import demo content? WordPress doesn't handle custom fields very well, so it throws junk in there sometimes during the demo import process.

It shouldn't happen when you create new posts on your own. With existing posts, just be sure to review the post edit screen and make sure the Custom Post options (below the content box) are empty.

We have recently purchased your Brick and Mason Theme and when uploading it, we are having the same issue of the above text.

I was testing something and it appears to have caused an issue.

I edited line 186 of functions.php from this...

<input type="text" name="<?php print_r $meta_box[ 'name' ]; ?>" value="<?php echo htmlspecialchars( $data[ $meta_box[ 'name' ] ] ); ?>" />

...to this...

<input type="text" name="<?php print_r $meta_box[ 'name' ]; ?>" value="<?php echo $data[ $meta_box[ 'name' ] ] ; ?>" />

As I no longer can access your functions.php file from WordPress, you'll need to change it back to the first line above via FTP.

Let me know once that is taken care of and I'll continue to look into this.

In the version I used in the earlier post, I simply downloaded the latest version of wordpress and created a new instance & DB without anything else (had to delete it as the spam started coming through thick and fast) and then added the theme, nothing else, no demo content or additional plugins.

Nope.

Didn't notice them there to be honest, (just started with the theme). The question is though, why are those fields populated like that every time?

Also, PHP version is 5.4.21 if relevant, and there are no plugins.

I see this has been discussed elsewhere but with different circumstances. I have just done a fresh WP install onto my site and I'm so far getting two errors:
