Hi there,

With the auto-thumbnail feature, that is really only meant as a backup until you can customize the thumbnail on the post edit page. Especially with the Vimeo image API, it's very finicky and not always consistent.

Be sure to customize the featured images for ALL appropriate posts as it will also speed up your site loading times.
