Hi there,

Using video in the slider requires an embed code as the theme doesn't have built-in video support. My best advice is to upload the video to a hosted service like YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, etc.

The Nivo slider does not support video. That is an image only slider. To incorporate video, you'll have to use the dual slider option.

Hi Chris,

So far I didn't use video in the slider of Politico theme I am using for last several months. Now I have got a video, however that is mp4 file, not on the web. So I do not have code to embed. Therefore please guide how can I use mp4 file in the slider. THIS IS MY SECOND QUESTION (or problem) NOW.

First problem:
As this is first time I am going to add video, I just tried to embed a YouTube video first, but found it not coming up in the slider. The post is being picked up by the slider but no video. I already have a Nivo slider with more than five slides. When I am adding video slide, it is being picked up as first slide but without video. I tried both 612 and 918px width. Therefore, please advise.
