Hi there,

The CSS you posted above has no impact on the display/layout of HTML elements. I can guarantee there are errors elsewhere if removing that CSS fixes an issue like the one you're having.

Best,

Hi Christopher,

Thank you very much for your quick reply once again.

I have found out which changes to the CSS that is causing the problem of the display on mobile but I think it's very strange.
Whenever I change the homepage (header container) to white instead of black the video frame gets cropped on the mobile display.

This is the code I used:

#headerContainer {background: white;}

I would be more than happy to submit a custom request if I didn't think that it's strange that something simple like a colour change is causing the issue. I don't mind the bars of the video frame to be showing (evenly at the top and bottom), I just want a white background, so don't really understand why that is causing such a problem?

Our work have different aspect ratios so adjusting the video frame size itself doesn't help.

I have now changed the colour back to black as this seems to fix the problem but I am bit sad because we were looking for a fresher look for Spring 2016.

If you have any idea as to how a colour change might be causing the responsive display problem, please do let me know otherwise we might consider submitting a custom request when we feel we might have something more important than simply the colour issue to deal with.

Thanks again for your great support, it's very much appreciated.

Best, Sisa

Hi there,

Here is the current CSS styling for that section of the page...

#mainPanel {
    background-color: #f5f5f5;
    box-shadow: 0 0 15px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.08);
}

You can copy/paste that to the Custom CSS box on the customize page to make edits.

Regarding mobile, you need to make sure your CSS edits display correctly on both desktop and mobile devices. Unfortunately my standard support services do not cover troubleshooting issues caused by custom CSS styling.

If you want me to review your changes/code, I'll have to ask that you submit a request for custom services here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Best,

Hi Christopher,

Thank you for your reply. I have changed the top-panel and it's white now. However the page with all the video posts (see here: http://www.cellaproductions.com/category/work/ ) is a grey colour (when scrolling down) and I can't change it to another colour for some reason?

Just another question; for some reason our home page and most other pages look completely wrong (messed up) on mobile view now (half the video on home page is cropped from view, everything else on the other pages (about, what we do, services ,clients, is on the left side, and all video frames messed up/cropped). Please can you take a look and tell me why?

See below:
http://www.cellaproductions.com

Thank you so much once again for your great support.

Best, Sisa

Hi there,

It is not possible to change the color of a video as that is not controlled by HTML/CSS.

Regarding the font styling, you have markup errors. Spcifically you have "
>
" instead of "
>
" and "
"
" instead of the quote symbol. Be sure you're copy/pasting that CSS correctly.

Regarding the background, are you referring to the top panel area? If so, here is the current color styling you have applied...

#headerContainer {
    background: white;
}

#topPanel {
    background: rgba(0,0,0,00000);
}

You can copy/paste that into the Custom CSS box to make edits.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Hi Christopher, Thank you so much for your quick reply. I made the changes to the gallery and it looks great now!!

Regarding the video frame, is there a way to make it white to fit my background?

I had taken out the CSS styling for the font as it wasn't working, but I have re-entered it for the font but it's not working for some reason.
This is the link to the category page where I am having the style issues (video, font and colour):

http://www.cellaproductions.com/category/work/

I wanted to change the colour in that category page to black and the font to another type and colour, and the video frame to fit the background colour so one cannot see the bars when playing the videos.

I hope you can help, thanks again for your time and quick response. This theme is getting better and better :)

Sisa

Hi there,

Yes, it's tricky to have CSS styles for content that varies in size. This is the nature of iframe styling and videos. It's normal.

Regarding the category page, can you provide a link to the page where you're having style issues?

Regarding the fonts, I don't see any CSS styling in your markup. Be sure you have there properly entered and saved.

Regarding the gallery, looks like you're linking images to the "attachment page". Be sure to specify in the gallery settings that images are linked to the "image file" via the drop down menu option in the gallery settings page.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Hi Christopher,

Thank you very much for your reply.

I made the change to the video frame so that it fits the video on the home page (can I add text to the home page as well as video?). However, the frame does not fit to all the videos as we have a range of different aspect ratios.

If it's not possible to adjust the frame to each video separately, another option would be to make the category page (where all the videos are listed) black. Can you help with this?

Regarding the fonts, I tried copy/paste the above suggested CSS styling but it doesn't seem to work. The font stays bold with white fill.

See here for both the frame and font: http://www.cellaproductions.com/category/work/

Just another quick question; I have created a photo gallery directly on a page but when clicking on a picture it doesn't open directly, it just shows the title and one has to scroll down to a small image then click again to open he picture. Is there a better/ easier way to create a photo gallery?
See here: http://www.cellaproductions.com/photography/

I hope you can help and thanks again for all your help and time with this - we are a young company so all details matter when building our image.

Best,
Sisa

Hi there,

Here is the current CSS styling for the video frame...

#video iframe,
#video object,
#video embed {
    box-shadow: 0 0 15px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
    display: inline-block;
    height: 365px;
    left: 0;
    position: relative;
    top: 0;
    width: 650px;
}

You can copy/paste that into the Custom CSS box on the Customize page and make edits to the frame size there.

Regarding fonts, here is the current CSS styling...

.innerTopPanel > h1 {
    color: #fff;
    font: italic 38px/1em "georgia",serif;
    left: 0;
    margin: 0;
    position: relative;
    top: 0;
}

Again, just copy/paste that into the Custom CSS box to make edits on the Customize page.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Hi there,

I have changed the main section color to white but now the video frame shows one (on some computers two) black bars. Is there a way to change the color of the video frame? This is the site: http://www.cellaproductions.com

Also, where can I make changes to the font and color of the page titles?
Thank you
