Hi there,

Now I'm confused, because I've tried putting in various video IDs and a URLs(I've tried several variation of the embed URL) in the data-vidid attribute and neither work when I upload the page to the server. It turns into a dead link. The video ID works perfectly in local, however.

Please have a look at what I mean:
http://www.dpproj.org/index2.html

Thanks for the help,

Hi there,

Please review this screenshot from the help file: http://themolitor.com/help/vysual_html/images/index_markup.jpg

You do not put the video URL in the href attribute. You put it in the "data-vidid" attribute as highlighted in the screenshot.

Best,

Christopher

Hey there
Still not able to get this working after carefully reviewing the help file...
I'm currently keeping the direct link to the video on my server so as to avoid the problem of having a dead link.

Do you have any idea what other causes may be behind it?

Thanks!
Jonathan

Hi there,

The play button should not link directly to the video like you have it setup. Be sure to review the "home page" section of the help file for details: http://themolitor.com/help/vysual_html/#homePage

Please let me know if that helps.

Hella!

On my website ( http://www.dpproj.org) I've been having alot of trouble with the play button on the index.html not calling up the video container. Instead it links directly to the file in the directory and plays it fullscreen. Strangely enough, when opening the page with local files, the container calls correctly.

I'm having this problem with self-vids and youtube embeds.

Thanks for helping!
J
