You should be able to upload videos. You may need to increase your upload limit settings if you're having trouble doing this. Here's a Google search result list to get your started:

One more question:

I know that you only support MP4 video links for the video homepage; where would I go about getting this? I have an MP4 video, but it will not upload to the media. Would a site like VIMEO work since YouTube does not?

Ultimately, I would like to the have the sliding images in the back of the homepage with the ability for visitors to the video from the homepage like these two sites using the template have:
