I'm not sure what to say. There is really no reason one should impact the other. I've not had any other reports regarding this issue. For now, this thread is considered a customization (i.e. "something extra"), so troubleshooting issues regarding customizations go beyond the purview of services that I can provide.

I just changed the 2 lines, as you said, no more ... It's not difficult.
But since that, auto calculattion is not working. And I did no other changes ... So, i can tell you, it affect the auto calculation, just by that ...
With satellite it work, with road map, no ...

Ps : I have the latest version of Navigator also.

As long as you're following the instructions posted above correctly, the location should not be impacted at all by these edits. They are completely separate from each other.

Do you know that when we do that (changes on the single.php) the automatic calculation of the adresses for the map don't work ?
I asked myself about that many times before (and opened many tickets about). The automatic calculation works ONLY if we don't change anything on the php files ... So, could you please tell me how I can do to have the 2 options working good together ?? (roadmap vieux on single article, and automatic calculation for all the articles ?).

We're trying this and it's not working...

Open "single.php"
On line 153, change class="roadmap" to class="satellite"
On line 175, change mapTypeId:'satellite' to mapTypeId:'roadmap'
Save file.

In fact, these terms are not actually on lines 153 and 175, but 228 and 251. Any ideas why?

I've changed script.php, page.php, and now single.php but for some reason my Map that shows all the pushpins continues to default to roadmap.

At one point I was able to get it to show roadmap view on single posts though - but that isn't what I needed so I changed teh single.php back to whatever setting I'm trying now.

My client really really really wants the satellite view as the default view all the time. Really, that's all I want to do with this theme first time I saw and I purchased. I do not want to see the roadmap view! Anyone know how to set the default map setting to SATELLITE view?

My map is not on my home page. I have a static home page. I'm afraid now that I've changed the roadmap to satellite and satellite to roadmap so many times back and forth that I'm not sure what the settings should be for these three files any longer to accomplish my goal of getting the default map view as satellite view.

It would be great if we could set the default as satellite or road map for each individual post, as some locations have poor satellite coverage but others look great by satellite.

Please, make this setting a theme option choice, along with default location.

To use the "roadmap" view by default for individual posts, do the following...

1. Open "single.php"
2. On line 153, change class="roadmap" to class="satellite"
3. On line 175, change mapTypeId:'satellite' to mapTypeId:'roadmap'
4. Save file.
