Hey Chris - How many of us have to bring up this idea for you to make it native? I would be happy to give you UI ideas for how it could work. E.g.
- Put an option on each post (down by the Lat/Long) that allows the user to specify zero or more categories hold that the locations they want on the bg map.
- and/or when the user selects "Your Latest Posts" under static front page, show the latest posts over the bg map (that has ALL locations mapped, not just those mentioned in the posts).

Im sure there are other ideas.... and there are at least two of us that would appreciate it!

I think this thread answers my question, but to be sure..

Im looking for a way to display a list of recent blog/new posts on the home page with a map background (Ive got that part here: http://raisedwaterresearch.com/category/news) but I want the map in the background to have the location pins on it (for all the posts that are NOT in the "blog" category).

Is that possible out of the box or does it require custom work?

Is there a way to have the blog category layout on the homepage, with the map in the background? I'm a little new to this so sorry if this is a silly question. I'd like to have my default blog category listed on the left and have a map w/ whatever markers in the background.
