Hi Chris,

yes it makes sense :)
I tried typing it directly and pasting it: none of these work.
Is there a way to modify this somewhere else than in the CSS box ?

Hi there,

I'm not sure why ">" is getting converted to the HTML character code. This isn't happening for me when I type ">" in the Custom CSS box.

If you're copy/pasting, maybe try manually typing ">" where it appears in your custom CSS. It's possible the copy/paste process is grabbing the HTML character code and not the actual text of the character.

Does that make sense? Let me know.

Best,

Hi Chris,

Problem #1: RALEWAY Text not taken into account everywhere (Top Panel not working)
---> in the CSS Custom box, i wrote:

.innerTopPanel > h1 {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important; font-style: normal !important; font-weight: 300 !important;}
.innerTopPanel > h2 {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important;}

And you mean that the ">" sign is not considered as such in the code and instead it considers "& gt;" ? (which obviously does not mean anything, and that would explain why this change is not taken into account)
If so, then what shall i write into the CSS Custom box to express ">" ?
This also means that every line in the CSS Custom box where i used this sign ">" , that sign ">" is not taken into account and therefore does not work...---> that would explain the issue #2 then no ?

#2: CURRENT MENU not picking the color i impose
---> here is the exact code i wrote in the CSS Custom box:

#dropmenu > li > a:hover,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-parent > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-item > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-ancestor > a {color: #9B9B9B !important ; border-bottom-color: #9B9B9B !important;
}

Do we then have here the same explanation for both issues ?

How come since that was not the case in version 1.2 ?
What shall i do to express this ">" sign in the CSS Custom box ?

Thanks again Chris for your help !
Cheers,
Julie

Hi there,

#1 Ah, I see the issue. Your CSS contains HTML markup for ">" in the source code.

#2 I don't see the CSS I provided in your source code. Double-check to make sure you're entering the CSS as I have it listed above.

Hi Chris,

for #2, as i wrote in my message right above yours, the CSS code you propose is exactly the CSS code I typed, that used to work in the previous version, and does not work in this one. I keep on looking and don't understand why it does not work, and why it keeps on applying YOUR color code (white) for the current/active item instead of the one i impose.

@1: Is there a simple CSS code to write in the Custom CSS box to force the whole text to be in one font type ? Indeed,"Raleway" is applied everywhere BUT for all the TOP Panels.

My main concern is: I know I checked the code and wrote down everything good (you offer me the solution I had already written in the CSS code, and it is supposd to be good as it worked in the previous version). So I can't find out why it does not work, since this code is good.

Any idea ?

Hi there,

#1 -- I'm seeing raleway being applied to your text. In any case, if your CSS isn't working, you'll need to check your selectors and make sure they aren't being overruled by other styles.

#2 -- Here is the color styling for the current/active/hovered menu item...

#dropmenu > li > a:hover,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-parent > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-item > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-ancestor > a {
    color: #fff;
}

Try copy/pasting that into your Custom CSS box and make edits there.

Hope that helps!

Best,

Hi Chris,

I'm still stuck with the problem, can't figure out why, since it's working in the old version v1.2 and not in the latest v100.3.9.6.
You think you could have a look ?

# Problem 1: top panel do not accept the change i made in CSS with my unique and main font ("Raleway") and keeps yours.

I made the following changes in the customyze/CSS box:

.innerTopPanel > h1 {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important; font-style: normal !important; font-weight: 300 !important;}
.innerTopPanel > h2 {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important;}
.listing .post h2.posttitle, .listing .page h2.posttitle {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important;}
.post h2.posttitle, .entrytitle {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important;}

# Problem 2: Selected page in the menu does not pick the color i impose (#9B9B9B) and stays white (your color). All the other changes I made in the custom CSS work: size, hover color (#e09700), non-selected color (#272E31. It looks like the following is not working anymore:

#dropmenu li a {opacity: 1; color: #272E31;}
#dropmenu li a:hover {color: #e09700;}
#dropmenu li a {font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400}
#dropmenu > li > a:hover,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-parent > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-item > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-ancestor > a {color: #9B9B9B !important ; border-bottom-color: #9B9B9B !important;}

---
Sorry to bother you with that, but i feel powerless here.
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
Julie

Hi Chris,

well, i tried again tonight, and without doing anything, that problem disappeared...very weird.
But i do other issues, due to that upgrade. And i really don't understand why. I thought I was in control of that CSS but it looks like not...

# Problem 1: top panel do not accept the change i made in CSS with my unique and main font ("Raleway") and keeps yours. That change of font works everywhere else...
It used to work in my previous version, though the CSS is basic and the same:

"
.innerTopPanel > h1 {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important; font-style: normal !important; font-weight: 300 !important;}
.innerTopPanel > h2 {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important;}
.listing .post h2.posttitle, .listing .page h2.posttitle {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important;}
.post h2.posttitle, .entrytitle  {font-family: 'raleway', sans-serif !important;}
"

# Problem 2: Selected page in the menu does not pick the color i impose (#9B9B9B) and stays white (your color)
Again, used to work in my previous version, but here, does not.
All my other changes work: size, hover color (#e09700), non-selected color (#272E31)
Here is the CSS i put:

#dropmenu li a {opacity: 1; color: #272E31;}
#dropmenu li a:hover {color: #e09700;}
#dropmenu li a {font-size: 16px; font-weight: 400}
#dropmenu > li > a:hover,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-parent > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-item > a,
#dropmenu li.current-menu-ancestor > a {color: #9B9B9B !important ; border-bottom-color: #9B9B9B !important;}

Voilà, these are my 2 big problems right now (and hopefully the last ones...)

Thanks a lot in advance for your feedback ! (and thanks again for all these 5 times you already took the time to answer to my questions)

Cheers,

Hi Chris,

I just tried to upgrade from version 1.2 of The Producer to the latest available on Themeforest (v100.3.9.6 - Apr 2016 i suppose), and followed each step carefully.
Well, it turns out that my website is not really how it's supposed to be: I only see the header (with a logo located more down than where it's supposed to be as on version 1.2) with the proper font and color modifications i made - but all the rest below the header is just black. As if all the scrolling panels were UNDER this black layer.
I made modifications only on the CSS, and have never touched any of the template files.

I tried, on your new version, to empty this whole CSS file, hoping to then see MY website with YOUR template and your original fonts, colors, etc...--> I still got your template for the header but all the rest was black.

Could it be that there is a panel with a "z" position that is not appropriate and now covers and hides all the other panels ? if so, I can't figure out which one and why the problem persists when I'm emptying my CSS.

You think you have any idea what could be the problem ?
I'm really sorry to bother you with that question that looks pretty stupid.

My website is the following: http://www.ptitesmadeleinesproductions.com.

Thanks !
Cheers,
Julie

------------------------------------------
The CSS modifications i made are:

img#logo {margin-top:-42px;}
#headerContainer {background: -moz-linear-gradient(top, rgba(0,0,0,0),  rgba(0,0,0,0)); !important;}
#headerContainer {background: #ffffff; height: 140px;}
#headerSearch input[type="text"] {
background: #ffffff;
color: #c0c0c0;
border: 1px solid #c0c0c0;
box-shadow: 0 0 0px rgba(0,0,0,0);}
#dropmenu > li > a:hover,
