Hi there,

Menu items are only active if they are either (1) the active page being displayed or (2) the parent of an active page being displayed.

In the link you provided, "second" is highlighted because it's the parent of "page 1" (the current active page). "First" is not highlighted because it is neither the active page nor the parent of an active page.

Thanks!

thank you for your email.

so, if I got that right, in iPad if the second menu is active, the first is inactive...

can I change that somehow? else, how will the user be able to move from the page of the example to the remaining site (i.e. to the pages of the first menu)?

regards

Hi there,

I took a look on an iPad and iPhone and don't see any issues with active menu items. Only the second menu item is active (dotted background). The first menu item should be inactive in the link you provided as that is not the active menu item/page.

Has this issue been resolved? If not, I'm not sure I can help here as I'm unable to recreate this issue.

Thanks!

hello Chris,

I am using version 1.5 of The NavigatorWP template and I have noticed that when browsing from iPad mini or iPhone 4S with either Safari, or Chrome, I face the following problem:

I have two drop down menus. The first is related to locations, pointing to posts with maps as background. The second is related to informative pages, pointing to pages with image background.

If I click on any page of the second drop down menu (pages with image background), both drop down menus are deactivated. Is there any solution to that?

Thank you.

@sleekz

if you have not edited the theme files in any away

download the theme from themeforest

deactivate OptionTree from your current install

upload the new themefiles via FTP(override the current ones)

refresh your admin

if youve edited the theme files you will need to go through all your edits and move them to the new files because following those steps

*note: all the information(other than physical changes in files) are saved to a database so they wont go anywhere

I would like to upgrade to v.1.4.0, but am unclear what precautions I should take before doing so.

Being new to using WordPress I am unclear what problems could arise when upgrading a WP theme related to large amount of content and configuration I have added to my site so far. Is it a fairly straight forward and risk free process to download and update the theme or are there important precautions I should know about before going ahead?

I just download the theme to my computer and then upload and activate it through the WP Dashboard/Plugins/Add New/ panel ? If not please fill in the gaps in my understanding.

Hello The Molitor. In the 1.4.0 version, the field to replace the default pin icon is missed... its easy change this with a FTP account, but it was nice can change it in the options theme. This feature was added in 1.3.0 version:

Added: Custom marker option (site wide (missed now in 1.4) & individually (its ok).

Version 1.4.0 of The Navigator (WordPress) adds support for OptionTree version 2.x by having the plugin built into the theme. What this means is that you no longer need to have OptionTree activated as a separate plugin.

Also, the iOS dropdown issue has been resolved and general code improvements have been applied.

To obtain the most recent version of this theme, please visit your downloads page on ThemeForest.
