Chris,

I took a look. THAT is what I get for trying to "fix" something.

In looking at the header.php file, I found what was missing for the search. I also "broke" the site again, by going back to the original header.php.
Apparently it was missing:

<div id="contentContainer">
<div id="content">

After placing these lines into the new header.php, all was good.

Now just to make sure all my other customizations are updated.

Thanks again!

@sarelma Have you tried deactivating your plugins? Also, have you made edits to the template files? There appears to be some script/layout conflicts that don't appear with a default setup of the theme.

@digthefalls Looking at your source code, the search feature is gone completely. This seems to indicate you've made edits to the template files. If you're not sure, my best suggestion is to replace your files with the default theme files.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

Chris,

I was able to revert back to the original files and clear all site/browser caches. This took care of the CSS issues I was facing.

I am still working on the search functionality. The site is unusably slow at the moment, so that is my biggest hurdle at the moment.

Thanks so much for the continued support!

Hi Chris - I just activated the theme. I did play with it a little and was able to fix the position of the "welcome box", but not the position of the arrows at the bottom. (Google Chrome sets the arrows to the top of the box. Safari and Firefox are correct.) BUT now that I fixed the position of the welcome box in Chrome, it shows up too low for the other browsers. Same goes for all the info boxes in my posts.

So I have it up if you want to look at it.

I can revert to the original markup if needed as well.

I apologize ahead of time for having a second post here. I have switched the site over to the new theme so that the issues can be viewed: http://digthefalls.com

Along with the white box and the welcome message issue, I do notice that the arrows at the bottom for previous and next posts are not aligned correctly. There is also a "Search Site" area below the logo I cannot get rid of...
I just downloaded the latest version today.

Alrighty... I updated my site as well...

The home page CSS isn't working right (I think). The "welcome box" is all the way to the top left and there is a white box over my logo.

If I could ask that consequential versions also only show up to 100 posts on the front page, that would be great. Unless you plan to add grouping options to newer versions. Any more than 100 and the map starts to freeze.

Any suggestions for the home page?

Hi there,

Unfortunately I'll have to see the site with the current version in order to troubleshoot any existing issues. Looking at your site without the latest version won't really help.

After updating, did you review all your settings on the Customize page (appearance > customize)? As a safe-guard, it helps to change a setting, click save, change it back and then click save again. This is a good way to reset and save all new settings.

Let me know.

Best,

Chris

I am still running the older version, so the problem will not be evident. Is there an address that I can send you a PM with access detail to the backend so that you can have a better look?

Hi Chris

I had a second go at it again. So I deleted the wpnavigator folder and replaced it with the latest version using FTP.

After doing the theme setup, I deactivated all the plugins, one at a time and checking the site's functionality afterwards. It made no difference to how the site is displayed in Firefox. I also check the site again on my Iphone5, which showed the site, but with no top menu and the sidebar opened obscuring everything else.

I would appreciate your help in resolving this.

Regards

Hi there,

Glad you're getting good feedback! :-)

I haven't heard of any issues like that, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. Did you review the update process here?

Did you try deactivating plugins to see if the issue persists?

Hi

Great theme - I have had great feedback from site members (the site is subscription based using the wp-members plugin).

I have recently updated to version 2.2.0 from version 1.5.2 to gain responsiveness to my website.
After I updated and configured the theme, the main map displays strange. In Firefox the map is displayed as a smallish square, not filling the whole page. It seems to display correctly in IE.

In addition to this, I tested the responsiveness of the site. The result was no good, with the sidebar being displayed over the menu. Is seems a bit of a mess on all mobile display screen sizes.

I have now reverted back to the older version, but am keen to get the latest version functional.

Regards
