Hi there,

I see you have an SEO plugin active. This is likely causing the issue as the theme is taking the title information and applying it dynamically as you navigate the site.

Maybe check the plugin settings to see if they override those settings and provide their own inputs for that information.

Best,

Christopher

Thanks, I added them for the images.

Regarding the Title of the website, I do have a title and tagline in the general wordpress admin settings. However, it doesn't show up in the category pages. Just says "News |" or "Cast & Crew |".

Hi there,

The title/description is pulled from the title/description fields for the image. You can view/edit this information when you view an image in your media gallery (via WordPress dashboard).

Regarding the title, do you have a tagline for your site? It's probably trying to display your tagline, which is good for SEO.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Christopher

Also, I'm still confused regarding the page title for category pages.

When you click to them from the menu, the page titles display as "News |" or "Cast & Crew |". At least until you reload the page, then the "|" disappears. Very strange.

Hi there,

You could try using an SEO plugin that allows you more control over the markup (i.e. meta descriptions, ect.)

I highly recommend using the title/description feature built into the gallery page, though. That's really what it's there for.

Best,

Christopher

Just to clarify, I don't have this problem with any other page types.

The other pages pop in search results right near the top when you search their keywords in Google. However, the Gallery front page shows up as the 200th search result. And subpages show up near the top, even though their less relevant than the front page.

Hi there,

I love the Vysual theme, great stuff.

I'm using a gallery as my front page here: <http://bit.ly/1NJO29s>, and I've noticed it has pretty bad SEO value. The template doesn't offer many places to insert text that might make it easily found by search engines (i.e. especially if you don't want caption text displayed on top of the images).

Are there any places to enter descriptions, etc, to help with this?

One place I noticed was the class tag, which featured a lot of unnecessary "template" wording: <body class="home page page-id-403 page-template page-template-page-gallery page-template-page-gallery-php ajax-on">, same with div tags, etc.

I'm also having a lot of trouble with how the title of the page is displaying on most pages.

Let me know if there is anyway you can help or point me in the right direction. It'd really add a lot to this template.

Thanks!
