That's really the best approach to what you're trying to achieve. The less markup the better.

Thanks!

Ok. If I wanted to change the opacity of the image in Photoshop I would have done that. ;)

I'll figure it out, though.

Thanks for your help anyway!

I think you're misunderstanding me or I'm just using the wrong terminology. Instead of transparent, I suppose I mean the opacity of the image.

If you look at the image on the home page (http://temp.rockandrawhide.org) compared to the image on the other pages, without the slider, the image is lighter, that's because I changed the opacity on the homepage, but it's not consistent with the other pages.

It's still dark instead of the image being lighter.

So what I've been trying to do is change the opacity of the image in the other pages as well. Instead of just the homepage.

Hi there,

The background image you're using looks transparent to me (I see red behind it). Ultimately you'll need to adjust this image in Photoshop to make it look exactly like you want it. That isn't anything controlled by the theme.

Thanks!

Chris

Whoops! I actually meant http://temp.rockandrawhide.org

.. and I should have been more specific. I have the home page all set to go but I'm trying to make the background other pages transparent as well.

Sorry.. been a long day. Brain is already fried. XD

Hi there,

It looks like your server is down. I click the link but I get a "server not found" message...

Make sure you're making a proper transparent PNG image. JPG images don't support transparency, so check that first.

Thanks!

Hey guys,
I've replaced the Map background with my own background. I'm almost done with setting my site up and I'm having a hell of a time trying to make the background transparent and what I'm doing doesn't seem to be working. Have any tips?

Thanks in advance!
