There seems to be an issue with how webkit displays the video fullscreen for absolute positioned elements.

I'm writing a fix now. I'll send out an update notice when it's ready ;-)

Sorry for all the posts :-) but this solution might work for me. I changed the CSS I got from you to 80% instead of 100% and the window has a good size but I would like to center it on the page. I have tried different options within the CSS like align center and so on but no succes. ...Here is the CSS again:

#play-box iframe,
#play-box video {
height: 80%;
left: 0;
max-height: 80%;
max-width: 80%;
top: 0;
transform: none;
width: 80%;
}

So, if this is a browser problem, I could get around it by making the trailer bigger from the start. I do not want fullscreen but slightly bigger. Is that possible via CSS? Because then I could remove the option in Vimeo to make it fullscreen and this problem will not occur. I have looked through the code and found some settings in Header.php that I could change with a child theme but I tested to change the size 800 x 450 to bigger but nothing really happened. Or yes the trailer screen got wider but only the black edges, the height stayed the same.

I usually have Safari and have tried on three different computers in the house and it looks the same, strange window in upper left corner. But then I tried in Firefox and it looks perfect there.

Oh, that is strange. And you look at the trailer on the Home page in the home box in the middle. I have tried on both my laptop and on a iMac and it looks the same here. I took a screenshot. Is it possible to post it here?

Hi there,

When I visit your site (and my demo), the video is small (by default). I click the full screen button and the video plays full screen.

I'm not understanding the "moves up to the left corner" part. Everything looks and functions as intended.

Let me know.

Best,

Trying to explain it better....I want the user to be able to choose if they want to see the trailer in a small window as default or make it bigger. With the CSS they can only see it bigger. Without the CSS when pressing fullscreen symbol the small window moves up to the left corner of the site, as it is right now :-)

Thank you for answering that fast! It is probably me explaining clumsy. I have removed the CSS you gave me and now the trailer is smaller. I like that to be like that when entering the page. And then if someone wants to see it fullscreen they can do that by clicking in the vimeo fullscreen symbol. If you do that right now, how my webpage is set up, the page looks very strange and the trailer is still small but in the upper left corner. http://inembryothemovie.com

And with the CSS I got from you it is shown in fullscreen but right in the beginning without the trailer window being small first. I looked at you demo but I am not able to make the trailer fullscreen at all? There is no fullscreen button i Vimeo for that trailer, as far as I can see?

Hi there,

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. If you don't want it to display full screen, you can just remove the CSS I provided and it will display like it did before (smaller like the link you provided and how it is displayed on the demo site).

Please let me know if I misunderstand.

Best,

Hi again. I have a question regarding the trailer video in the home box on the Home page. I created a trailer page on the meny. It looks like this and function really well when I want to watch it in fullscreen. http://inembryothemovie.com/trailer/

In the home box I added a CSS that I was given from you to make it possible to watch it fullscreen. The only thing is that it starts as a fullscreen and I would actually want it to start it as above from the meny link, as a small screen and then possible to make it full screen. This is the CSS I was given from you in a previous thread. I have removed the CSS for now. Do you think it is possible to make it work as in the meny? Thank you!

#play-box iframe,
#play-box video {
height: 100%;
left: 0;
max-height: 100%;
max-width: 100%;
top: 0;
transform: none;
width: 100%;
}
