Molitor,

What can I say? You are a stinking genius. That's what I have to say.

It WAS the preview DNS setting (just to preview the site while it's active somewhere else) that was throwing the whole thing off. If we follow your instructions to the letter, this thing works.

(At least it did for me.)

Wordpress 2.9.1; PHP 5.3; GoDaddy Hosting (Deluxe); Settings and permissions set as you instructed.

I tested the site elsewhere (on my server with a subdomain). Should have done that to begin with. Duh! Worked like a charm.

Seriously bro, thanks. I'm giddy with anticipation and excitement that this issue has been laid to rest.

:)

I noticed that you're using a "preview DNS" in the link you provided. That may be causing the problem.

Do you have another place you can test the site? What I usually do is create a sub folder on the client's actual hosting account and test everything there.

Hey there,

Been trying to work a solution for the past 2 days on this. Read your post about the requirements for the thumbnails to work, watched the walk-through (very nice btw).

On a GoDaddy server, using latest Wordpress version, latest PHP version. I changed permissions of the files to 777 and 755 accordingly. I can see the thumbnails and where they are generating: In the "uploads" folder.

I have scoured this forum. I have scoured the forum you suggested to others. I have scoured the net. I have been on the phone with Tech Support at GoDaddy for over 2.5 hours.

I've been here: http://code.google.com/p/timthumb/issues/list
Here: http://wordspop.com/forum/topic.php?id=201
Here: http://wordspop.com/forum/topic.php?id=191
Here: http://colorlabsproject.com/knowledgebase-tutorials/tutorial-timthumb-thumbnail-generation-with-arthemia-theme/

And been to many other sites (which I won't post for the sake of being somewhat brief).

I'm absolutely exhausted, and cannot simply find a resolution to this issue. Nothing works.

Here is the temporary URL I'm working on for the customer: http://agapedevelopment.org.previewdns.com/

Someone somewhere has got the answer to this issue. This site was supposed to be a simple solution for a customer that didn't have a big budget. It has now turned into a nightmare and has brought my production to a screeching halt.

Is TimThumb not installed properly? Should I change the code in the php file? How do I resolve this issue?

Everyone keeps pointing in another direction and no one is really willing to help. I've even seen over 50% of forums and sites I visit with these questions that are over a year old with no answer posted.

Please please help.
