The slider option in the admin panel should not be set to anything. Here are my option settings for the slider:

Any confirmation of a solution? I get the exact same page as the screenshot .png file in the original post. I have downgraded to the old OptionTree, and changed the syntax on line 88. The slider now appears, but like the original post stated, is not doing anything.

Hello,

the sreenshot you're showing is the "Theme Customizer" feature which was added in WordPress 3.4 our theme currently don't support that feature

The theme options will be in your WordPress Admin under Appearance -> Theme options

also note

Currently most are themes aren't compatible with Option Tree 2.0+ we are working on getting updates in until then you'll need to restore the older version http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/option-tree.1.1.8.1.zip (download link)

Update - I found the offending syntax in line 88 of header.php. It was looking for slider.php (which does not exist). I changed that to dualslider.php and now a slider is visible, if not working.

There are still other issues. Most of the admin panel is missing. -> http://firelightpoems.com/screenshot/admin.png

I'm sure this has something to do with the theme and OptionTree not communicating properly.

Any ideas?

New install of WP. Fresh install of the Politico theme. Clicked the link in the dashboard to install the OptionTree plugin.

Here is the dashboard message telling me The OptionTree plugin is required for this theme to function properly. Install now. -> http://firelightpoems.com/screenshot/install.png

Here is what happens after I click the install now link -> http://firelightpoems.com/screenshot/installed.png

Obviously because the plugin is already installed.

I've reinstalled WP, reuploaded the theme, reinstalled the plugin manually.

What now?
