Hi there,

Unfortunately when it comes to updating, I really can't provide much support as it all has to happen on your side of the fence.

You can update the theme a couple different ways...

1. Delete the theme you currently have installed and upload a newer version as you normally would.

2. Replace the files via FTP.

Regarding errors, I can only refer you to the FAQ thread as there are no missing files in the theme. This is a common user error when it come to installing themes, and I can only encourage you to read the thread here and watch the video: http://support.envato.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/269/0/my-wordpress-theme-isnt-working-what-should-i-do

All I want to do is update it so that I can access the correct menus and I don't understand why its so complicated. I apologise but I'm new to the programming and can't understand why I keep getting the error. If you could help me I'd really appreciate it as at this point I'm so frustrated that I might have to go back to a regular wordpress.com and lose my domain name in the process.

Hi Chris - I have downloaded the latest version and can't find the style.css file they say I need to get to to upload the correct folder.

I've also tried updating the theme to which I got this answer:

Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

Theme install failed.'

Hello there,

I am running version 1 of Brick and Mason and I see there is an updated version which I have downloaded. This might explain why I am missing the option under appearance>themes to add social media links and RSS feeds? Would this be why?

Now that I have the updated file on my desktop I'm confused as what to do with it. I'm not familiar with the lingo in the general FAQ's which talks about adding the zipped file via FTP to the themes folder. Is there any simple way you could explain to me how I'd do this?
