This is probably just related to the default settings not being saved to your database. You should be fine from now on :-)

That seems to have fixed it. I went in and tweaked the values a tiny bit everywhere and re-saved it.
My only concern was that my slider disappeared. So I went into the customizer again, deselected the slider, saved, and selected the slider again and it re-appeared.

Is this a Wordpress issue? Or permissions on hosting?

Hi there,

It looks like the settings on your Customize page are not being saved/loaded on the site. Try changing the values and saving/publishing the new values.

Oh, and I'm running WP 4.3.1 - fresh installation - no additional plugins, widgets installed. I tried installing the theme both via ZIP installer and the regular old upload method.

Hello.

I was hoping to get some help in figuring out where I went wrong. I installed the nocturnal theme, customized it (added logos, removed all but one widget - gave the widget a different title, added a menu, added the slider) and activated it.

When I'm looking at the theme via the customizer, it looks fine (the font colors look correct).
When I visit it via the main page of the blog - the font colors are all off.

For example, the link to the post title is standard blue (in customizer it's baby blue), the "current page" text is black on black (in customizer it's black on baby blue)

Please advise. Thank you in advance.
