There is a definite conflict between OptionTree and the awesome All in One Events Calendar plugin. When the calendar plugin is activated OptionTree's tabs are condensed into one and it is not possible to change or save settings. Additionally, the individual Calendar event pages don't load properly.

I know this isn't a theme issue per se, but this theme is greatly hampered by the fact that it isn't possible to use the best Calendar plugin available. I've requested support from both OptionTree & All in One Events Calendar so here's hoping they work out the kinks.

I'm having the same trouble, so is everyone else using the plugin. It's unfortunate because this them AND the plugin are so great. The workaround does function, but it's not a great solution. Some kind of javascript or jquery conflict...

OK. After doing a little poking with it, it appears that the All in One Events Calendar plugin is conflicting with the Option Tree plugin. You can resolve this issue by deactivating the all in one events plugin, making your changes to the theme and then reactivating the events plugin to restore the site to complete functionality. Kind of a difficult work around, but it did work.

I understand what you're saying and I can try contacting the plugin creator, but I'm not following the suggestion about contacting my host. Nothing has changed with the site or the hosting configuration and I have had sufficient permissions to my server to work with saving the theme settings up to this point. What kind of permissions do you suggest that I check with the host?

Hi there,

The theme is using the OptionTree plugin to generate those theme options, so if you're not able to save stuff, that actually has to do with the plugin (i.e. the theme doesn't have any saving functions built-in).

Oftentimes, these types of issues are resolved through server-related configurations too, so you might want to contact your host about possible permissions issues.

Again, I can confirm that the theme doesn't have anything to do with the WordPress dashboard/plugins not properly saving data.

Hope that helps!

Chris

Hi there,

Unfortunately this sounds like an issue with OptionTree, which we do not have the resources or knowledge to provide support for. I'll have to ask that you contact the developers of the plugin and/or use the support forums they have made available.

Hope you understand.

Thanks!

I recently upgraded to the latest version of Option Tree (v. Version 1.1.8.1) and when I did, it took away the ability to save any changes to the theme settings. Now, I'm stuck. I can't add (or take away) any categories that I need to show in the blog navigation lower down on the site. I need to get this resolved ASAP. Can someone help? Thanks.
