Hi there,

As you can see in the demo, I have a handful of posts that are prior to 1902. When I use a 3 digit date, like 670, it will display like this "0670". That isn't a theme thing, but how WordPress handled dates with 3 digits for the year.

This is the WordPress function I'm using to display the year...

the_time('Y');

As you can see, there really isn't anything to alter in terms of making edits to the PHP.

Hope that helps a bit.

Chris

And also I have to add that problem is not of 1970 with me. I can add years upto 1902 but if I go beyond 1902 the date gets reset to the present date. So do you think its the PHP error or something can be modified within the script to sort this out?

Hi there,

Glad we got that sorted out.

Regarding dates, honestly the hosting/platform-side of things goes a bit beyond my knowledge. All I know is that *some* hosting setups don't allow dates older than the 1970s for some reason. I'm not sure of the details of why that is or what configuration causes that to happen. Your hosting provider would be the best source of information on those details.

Real sorry I don't have more knowledge in this area. Again, I'm just a front-end guy :-)

Thanks!

Ohh.. I forgot to clear my cookies in Chrome.. The sliding effect works great.. Thanks for that :)

And I didnt realize the empty space is there in the demo as well.. If that cant be sorted then I guess we can leave that as is.

I have tried manually changing the dates but I am not able to add dates of say 1800, 650 AD without using the plugin.
Btw. My web host allows me to choose hosting platform. Will it help if I switch to Windows insted of Linux for this problem?

I have again sent you my login details using form at themeforest.net

Hi there,

1. Regrading the empty space, is it more than what you see in the demo? http://themes.themolitor.com/curator/ -- if so, that's normal.

2. Regarding dates, are you manually changing the publish date as instructed?

3. I tested my edits above without issue. Please double-check your implementation. Also, can you provide a link to your site?

Thanks!

Hi there,

For the #2 item in your first post...

Replace the following on line 47 of "index.php" and line 56 of "archive.php"...

<a title="<?php the_title(); ?> - <?php the_time('Y'); ?>" rel="prettyPhoto[gallery<?php the_id(); ?>]" href="<?php echo $large_image_url[0]; ?>" title="<?php the_title_attribute(); ?>"><?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?></a>

...with this...

<a title="<?php the_title(); ?> - <?php the_time('Y'); ?>" href="<?php echo $large_image_url[0]; ?>" title="<?php the_title_attribute(); ?>"><?php the_post_thumbnail(); ?></a>

Replace the following on lines 168-173 of "custom.js" (in the "js" folder)...

//TITLE CLICK
jQuery('.eventDetails h2').toggle(function(){
	jQuery(this).parent().stop(true,true).animate({top:"0"},300);
},function(){
	jQuery(this).parent().stop(true,true).animate({top:"350px"},300);
});

...with this...

//TITLE CLICK
jQuery('.eventDetails h2').click(function(){
if(jQuery(this).hasClass('close')){
jQuery(this).removeClass('close').parent().stop(true,true).animate({top:"350px"},300);
} else {
jQuery(this).addClass('close').parent().stop(true,true).animate({top:"0"},300);
}
});

//IMAGE CLICK
jQuery('.event > a').css({cursor:'pointer'}).click(function(){
jQuery(this).siblings('.eventDetails').stop(true,true).animate({top:"0"},300).children('h2').addClass('close');
return false;
});

Regarding the dates, since I don't provide support for plugin issues, you'll need to deactivate that plugin for me to troubleshoot issues with the dates (if they still exist).

Thanks!

I have messaged you through themeforest. There seem to be problem with dates.

I have used ADVANCED DATES Plugin since there was dates problem initially but now there are two issues.
1. When break my timeline via CENTURY (Or even decade for that matter) and I enter my Post of the year 613 AD on the top the image the number is wrong. Right now it says 6100s

2. There is a lot of white space at the end of the timeline for some reason.

ID PASS and URL is mentioned in the mail.

Hi there,

1. I always use wp super cache. I would try that first, but 175-200 images is A LOT of images, so you may experience long loading times no matter what.

2. That isn't a built-in feature and requires a bit of work to achieve. Please submit a customization request for this here: http://themolitor.com/custom

Hi
I have some questions regarding the website:
1. My website will be image intensive Timeline with around 175-200 Images at the very least. Are there any plugins which you have tested with your theme which you think improves the performance: wp-minify, Super Cache, Total Cache, Image Sprites etc.
I am trying out various plugins, but it will be great if you have any suggestions regarding these.

2. Right now when I click on the TITLE the text slides up, but when I click on the Image I get a popup. How do I make it in such a way that when I click on the image I get the same sliding effect?

3. Right now if I click on a Title the text slides up. And when I click on another title the first slide stays as is and next one slides up as well.
How do I make it in such a way that when I click on the second title, 1st block slides back?

4. I wan to modify the breadcrumbs as well. When you see the THE MONA LISA PAINTING Timeline Post in the breadcrumbs it says:
You are here: Home / Art / The Mona Lisa

While Infact the post has two categories - Art & Videos.

How do I make it show all the categories? SOmething like this:
You are here: Home / Art , Videos / The Mona Lisa
