Hi there,

To have your site like the demo, your reading settings should be set to "latest posts". Then you need to create a "Projects" category, create/assign posts for that category and assign it as the slider category on the customize page (appearance > customize).

You can then also create a separate "Blog" category if you desire to have a blog as well. Both "Projects" and the "Blog" categories are created and managed the same way. The main difference is that the project posts have a video associated with them.

Image poster dimensions are 230x340. To have featured images excluded from the gallery, simply upload the images from the media page (not the post edit page). This way the images don't get attached to the post. You can then use the "add media" button and locate the image in your media library to assign it as the featured image. Remember, the gallery is automatically created. You DO NOT need to create/insert it into the post content.

The size for the gallery thumbnails are controlled from your media settings page.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

hi,

also when i add a gallery it includes the featured image, which is a different size, can that not be shown? It does not appear in the gallery when you edit the images.

When i add a gallery to the category it adds it to the gallery section (great) but also under the text, which it does not on your demo site. Why is that?

When i create a category it adds Proyectos Archives - Aquí y Allí Films which is fine but i dont want the 'archives' part, this happens on all the sections i create.http://aquiyallifilms.com/wordpress/category/proyectos/

regards

Hi,

I understand now that the categories you create in the blog are the categories you add to the navigation to get the set up like your project page.

If i set the reading setting to 'use latest post' which one of my categories will it use? If i select one it will put the title of that page for example home, rather than the custom text that i have add in the custom options. I see when you create a category you add a description but that is the text under the header. (how can i customize the header text?

Also if i have it set up as standard on the homepage it is adding the post from my blog, and then it has the blank blog category at the end of the slider, as in your it has 'projects' can that be removed? I guess its like a view all posts...

http://aquiyallifilms.com/wordpress/

What is the idea image sizes, this would be good in your help sheet, gallery, poster, video sizes etc... For the gallery do i have to create a thumb nail, when i added a image the thumb was cut off strange.

I hope this makes sense.

Regards

Patrick
