Hi there,

If my above suggestion doesn't help, it might have something to do with memory. I'm not totally sure as I don't currently have a copy of IE 11 in front of me.

I see you have a lot of pins on your home page. Have you tried loading your site in IE 11 with just a few pins (just for testing purposes)?

Let me know if that has any impact.

Best,

Chris

The two IE11 users that cannot open The Navigator maps are both able to open Google Maps in the same browser without incident. Could you help me understand the difference between these situations - why does it work in one but not the other?

Best,

Thanks for your reply once again. If the problem is not theme-related, you of course cannot be held responsible. I'll see what I can do.

Hi there,

Unfortunately I don't have specific directions as I'm currently on a mac. I'm not sure why this is the case, but that said, setting the date/time on your machine is a pretty basic thing that all users should do anyway.

Please keep in mind, this issue is not a theme-related one. It has to do with how IE11 is configured and the restrictions put in place by Google.

Best,

Chris

Thanks for your swift reply.

Configuring date/time "properly" (could you clarify exactly what you mean?) for a few IE11 users might be possible (though I'm not looking forward to guiding them on the phone), but it naturally won't help all subsequent IE11 users on the site. That's quite a serious issue, I think - if a sizeable proportion of the users of a major browser cannot access it. Are there really no way around this?

Best,

Andreas

Hi there,

I've recently experienced an issue in IE 11 where if you don't have date/time for the maching (not the site, but the actual computer) properly configured, this will cause Google map issues.

Very strange.

Let me know if that helps the users who reported the issue.

Best,

Thanks for a great theme. I've been very happy with it, except for a recent problem with IE 11:

Two users of IE 11 (both on Windows machines) are unable to load the page at all - one times out, "not responding due to a long running script", the other sees the logo top left, but just a blank white screen behind it. Both were, when prompted, able to load everything just fine in Chrome. I've not testet IE 11 myself (on a Mac).

Do you have any idea about how to fix this? Is IE 11 support a problem with the theme, or can I do something else to remedy this?

Best,
