Try using !important. Example...

I am trying to adjust the size of text in the "text widget". I looked up this code, but it doesn't seem to work, can you offer any suggestions, please:

and tried this:

<span style="font-size: xxsmall;"><a href="http://ontofood.com/products/body-food-products/"> Why we recommend Enjo...</a></span>
