Hi there,

I haven't heard from the WPML team yet. I sent them all of my themes a while ago to make them WPML compliant, so I'm hoping they have a solution for you soon.

Thanks!

The staff of WPML is taking charge of my problem, the need support from the Template author, can you please help them?

"Dominykas wrote:

Dear Apteryx, my name is Dominykas and I am the senior support for WPML. Your support ticket was assigned to me because it is more complex issue. Resolving your ticket might take longer time because it requires some debugging and also good cooperation from the theme author whom I am going to contact today. It would be nice if you can also send a request to the theme author asking him to cooperate with us. Thank you for your understanding."

Thank you

Hi there,

Regarding customizations, that is outsourced and not handled by me. Unfortunately I don't have the resources to handle customization requests, so I've partnered with the Werkpress team to provide options to my buyers.

Regarding the plugin, I don't have developer knowledge of how it's creating the translations, so unfortunately I'm not able to troubleshoot issues the are caused by the plugin. I'm sure the WPML team will have some insight.

Thanks!

Your rates for customization are foolish, I'm thinking to have wasted the money for this template...
It's a pity, it looks nice but doesn't work very well.

that's what i asked at WPML:

"Hi I'm having an issue with a site (www.fiorichiariplates.it/wordpress , it's a restaurant) with this template.
The WPML works fine for everything but the menu, wich is compiled by the theme using a tree of categories for the structure and putting the post (of each category) in the right section.

I've translated the categories and if you choose the translated menu from the option page of the template you have the English or the Italian menu.

The problem is that when you switch from en to It in the option page the preference of the menu is not memorized in the translated page.

so you can't have a "menu1" in the italian page and a "menu2" in the english one, because one of them loose the preference when you change language. (see pictures 1 and 2)

can you help me with this problem?

thaks a lot"

I'm still convinced that's a theme problem for the way it memorize the information but we will see

I know, but I don't think WPML can resolve this, it's a theme "problem". It's related to the way the template memorize the name of the mother category of the menu.

If you're not too expensive I'll try with a customization :)

Hi there,

I hope you understand that WPML is only a suggestion and not a supported/tested feature of the theme. As a result, unfortunately I don't provide support for plugins like this.

I can only suggest you make use of the support channels provided by the WPML team and/or submit a customization request here for a custom solution: http://themolitor.com/custom

Again, I hope you understand this isn't a feature that I can support.

Thanks!

As suggested by you I bought the WPML plugin and it works great for my needs.
There's just a problem, with your template you can't specify two differents menus for the english and italian version.
If you change from italian to english, you go in the menu stuff section of the theme options and you specify the translation of the category menu, it will erase the italian prefrence...

you can test it now at http://www.fiorichiariplates.it/wordpress

the italian menu works fine, the english don't load. And if you specify the english, the italian don't load.
