Thanks for following up!

That's really strange. I've never heard of Jomongee, so I can't say what might be the issue with them. I'm really glad you were able to use the theme, though! :-)

Best,

Hi Chris,

You were right, it was a hosting issue, I am with Jomongee (they are very good)and I have hosted sites for years with them, so don't know why the theme didn't work with them?!
So anyway I bought hosting at Blue Host and now it works, so I am happy!
Thanks for your time,
Sarah

Hi Chris,

I want this to work, thanks for offer of refund but i would like to get to the bottom of this!
This theme is too good to let go for me!
I since tried this on another hosting provider (albeit a cheap one)just to test and there was a wrapper error this time.

So therefore I ask you what hosting provider does this theme work with?... and i shall purchase hosting from them!
Many Thanks
Sarah

Hi there,

I honestly don't know what the issue could be. I'm really just guessing. I can't recreate any issue like this on my end, and being that you're using the default theme on a couple domains, my only observation is that the hosting providers are different.

Really sorry I can't be of more assistance with this. If you decide a refund is necessary, I'll be willing to assist in that process with you and Envato.

Best,

Hi Chris,

I understand.
Well thank you anyway for testing. I shall speak to my hosting provider.
Maybe it is the Google script not allowed on my hosting? (you mentioned this in another post)
Thanks

Hi there,

I took a look, but I really can't see what the issue is. I did a fresh test on my hosting account and didn't see any issues, so I can only think this has something to do with your hosting configuration if you're testing on a fresh copy of the theme.

Sorry you're having trouble with this, but I really don't see any issues that are theme-related causing the lat/long not to generate for you.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris,

There were only 2 active plugins: the fonts plugin and shortcode ultimate, I have deactivated both.
Still no luck.

Would it help if I told you I also installed your theme in another directory on the server I use to test it, (to start again from scratch) and I still had the same issue.
Happy to give you passwords to my back office if you think you can find my problem there?
Thanks

It looks like you're loading a ton of extra scripts on the page. This might be causing issues with the map script. Have you tried deactivating any plugins you have installed?

Hi Chris,

Yes I have tried many real addresses.

I.E.....
Edge Hill University, St Helens Road,
Ormskirk, L39 4PZ

I assume that the post that is pending, just needs to be "published" so that the long/lat is automatically generated?
Thanks

Hi there,

That's not a real address, just an example format, so that's probably why you're having this issue. Have you tried a real address? One you know should be generating a lat/long?

Hi Chris,
Many thanks for response.
But after the user submits the address the theme does not automatically generate the lat/long when the post page is loaded on the front-end, and that is my concern.
So to clarify;
the user input the address but when the post is verified and then loaded in the front end there is just my background image and 'not' the map displaying with the pinpointed (marker) location,

Hi there,

If only an address is provided (as is the case when users submit locations), the theme will generate the lat/long when the post page is loaded on the front-end. The long/lat data does not get stored on the post edit screen as the code that generates the long/lat is only used on the front-end of the site.

Hope that helps.

Best,

Hi Chris,

Once the location has been submitted a blank page is then displayed.
Is there not a page that would say "your location title has been submitted thankyou" perhaps?

Also when the user inputs the address, the longitude and latitude is not automatically generated as you say it should be in other posts. (I have to put it in myself on the admin side)
