Thanks, mate. Yes, I get that.

Placed a bunch of &nbsp before the end of the first div and that seems to have fixed the issue in Safari so now it's all good :-)

Submitted an A+++ rating on the download page. Thanks again, guys, you rock! :-)

Hi there,

Just want to clarify, this is NOT a PC/Mac thing. This has to do with how browsers render content. They tend to determine columns differently as some content on Safari goes into column B while that same content in FireFox goes into column A.

To my knowledge, the only way you can control this is by having two divs with all page content inside. I'm not sure how the plugin you're using works, but if you're able to insert the content manually into a div (without reusing IDs), then you should be able to control the column allotment.

Since this has to do with styling plugin-generated content, my ability to support/troubleshoot issues is limited as it goes beyond the scope of the theme support that I provide.

Hope you understand.

Best,

Christopher

Thanks, mate! :-)

I'm getting a bit of mixed info from you and Mike. Mike said we can't control what is placed on each side, you say we can with div. Removed all divs from page and still it appears funny on Mac but well on PC. Very odd.

Could you please help me out here? This is the last hurdle after which I promise to leave you guys alone (lol) and sing your glory across the land and in the feedback sections. I really appreciate your help, especially as budget is tight (being a starving artist sucks... :-( ).

Thank you!! :-)

Hi there,

I noticed your reusing IDs in your markup (specifically "entryContainer" -- but there may be others). This will cause validation issues and may be the issue you're having.

If the issue persists, I can only recommend that you double-check to make sure you're properly wrapping your elements. Note, if you toggle between the "visual" and "text" tab in the WordPress editor, that may cause issues with div markup you have added.

This is what I saw at first glance of your site markup. If you need me to investigate your code further, I'll have to ask that you submit a customization request. http://themolitor.com/custom

Best,

Thanks, Christopher.

Understood regarding home page (with video plugin). Changed it to 1 column only to solve the issue :-)

In regards to the "downloads" page, could you please take a look at the source? Added the <div> in the beginning and end of each desired column but that didn't seem to make a difference. Could you please tell me what I'm missing.

Believe this would be the last setup issue I'm having with the theme. It's really a beautiful theme. Sorry for being such a newbie :-\

Thanks again!

Hi there,

The plugin(?) you're using to display that video content is producing invalid HTML markup. For example, it's generating a bunch of list items without the proper
<ul>
or
<ol>
markup surrounding it.

Regarding the "downloads" page, that is not really an issue. The browsers are basically determining which content goes to a new column differently. To force content into specific columns, surround all your content you want in column 1 with a
div
element and all the content for column 2 in a separate
div
block.

Please keep in mind these issues are not really theme-related, so I will have limited ability to support these specific issues you're having.

Best,

Christopher

Hi there,

Can you provide details about what the issue is specifically? Can you provide a link to your site?

The issue wouldn't be related to Mac vs PC. Rather the issue would be related to the browser you're using (i.e. Internet Explorer vs Safari). Can you provide details about the browser that you're using?

Let me know.

Best,

Hey mate,

Thanks again for all your help.

Think we have just one last issue and then I'll be out of your hair ;-)

For some reasons the home page and the download page look off on a mac. They look fine on a PC, though.

Removed the custom CSS we added (based on your input to the other queries) but that doesn't change this issue (so I placed it back).

Any help would be appreciated. Am already drafting the A+++ review you'll be getting from me! :-)

Thanks again!
