try removing the closing slash /. Also, 24 by 24 is pretty small.

So I am setting up a new site with this theme - VERY cool. Great job. I am trying to get the social media icons to display within a text widget. Here is the code I have placed within:

<img src="http://98.130.24.240/wp/wp-content/themes/wpaid/images/social/facebook.png" alt="" height="24" width="24" />

The site is not live as of yet, hence the IP address. But when you browse to view the image, it loads fine, so the URL is correct. It just does not display. Any thoughts?
