That's correct, you need the full URL, including the http:// part.

I resolved the issue. Apparently in Theme Options: Social Icons it is necessary to have http://facebook.comfearfair rather than just facebook.com/fearfair

My social media icons at the bottom of the page are picking up the url of my wordpress site... in other words, rather that facebook.com/fearfair the icon has the url fearfair.com/facebook.com. On the individual post pages, it is picking up the complete url of the current post and placing that before the correct url. I have searched everywhere to find where the icons are picking that up to no avail.

Can you help?
