Hi there,

1. I honestly can't think of a reason this isn't working for you. I have a couple test installations both running the latest versions of WordPress and the theme without any issues. If you want, you can send me login details from my profile page on ThemeForest and I'll be happy to take a look and make sure everything is in proper form.

2. The category sections only display items that have that specific category assigned. The theme is using a standard WordPress loop to display items for specific categories, so I'm not sure how posts that are not in that category would display there. Thinking this is a WordPress-related issue if you're not checking the "news" category and it's displaying in the "news" section.

4. The styling you're referring to does not apply the the image with "undefined" that I saw. The image you have with "undefined" is not a gallery image. Besides, if the styling were the issue, then "undefined" would not appear either as "display:none" would not allow anything to display (including the "undefined" text).

Best,

Chris

Hi
Sorry, but regarding 4., which you say is a WordPress issue. Those at WP say the problem is your style.css. Specifically: .gallery-item .gallery-caption {font-size: 10px; display: none;}

You see the 'display: none;'? That is why the caption does not show. So, as a neophyte to messing with coding, my question is: Should you or I change that code? If me, what should I change it to: block? Non-block?

best,

Hi

1. I created another category and applied a background pattern. It didn't appear there either.

2. I have a News category on the main menu and a post from Recent Posts is appearing despite not being checked on that post's Edit window, on the right in the list under categories.

Hi there,

1. Hmm, not sure what the issue is. Maybe try creating another category section with a background image assigned to see if the issue persists?

2. Just to clarify, you have a "News" category section, but don't want any posts to show up there? If I misunderstand, please clarify the issue as I'm a bit confused as the the problem.

4. I'm not seeing any title information applied. Maybe delete the image and upload it again? Ultimately this is a WordPress-related issue as the theme doesn't remove or control the title of images that you add to pages like that. Sorry I can't be help with this one.

Let me know about #1 and #2.

Best,

Hi

1, 2, and 4 remain problems. Any ideas?

1) Yes, confirmed. I don't know how to post a screen capture here but it is confirmed.

2) The Edit Post window for that post shows that, while Recent Posts may not be a category, it is listed as such and is checked, while 'News' is unchecked.

4) In each picture, Title and Caption have been filled in with name. And I still get 'undefined.'

Hi
Thanks for the reply!

1) Yes, confirmed. I don't know how to post a screen capture here but it is confirmed.

2) The Edit Post window for that post shows that, while Recent Posts may not be a category, it is listed as such and is checked, while 'News' is unchecked.

3) Right, the gallery images are linking to the "attachment page", not the "link file".

I don't see that setting/option available on the Create Gallery window, only on the Insert Media window: Under 'Attachment Display Settings' is a pop-up 'Link to' with options including 'Media File,' which I assume is why clicking on an inserted pic goes to the original file/pic.

4) In each picture, Title and Caption have been filled in with name. And I still get 'undefined.'

Sorry to be a bother, I appreciate your efforts, if you want me to upload screenshots show me how.

Hi there,

1. Can you confirm you've assigned a background image for the category? Reference: http://themolitor.com/help/panels/#backgrounds

2. "Recent Posts" is just the name of the widget you're using. It's not a category. "News" is the category you have that post assigned to, which is why it appears in the "News" section. Are you expecting different behavior?

3. Your images are linking to the "attachment page", not the "link file". The link file is what allows the images to appear in a pop-up. That's a WordPress gallery setting/option that's available when creating the WordPress gallery.

4. Be sure images have proper title, caption and description text where applicable.

Let me know if that helps.

Best,

Chris

O Noble Dude!

Things are trotting along nicely. You’ve built a great product and the ease of use, elegant look and developer feedback color me happy to be a user. Congrats and thanks!

I have 4 nits I’m trying to work out. Maybe you can help with some, maybe some should go to WP Support.

My website is http://www.lifeneverbegins.com/

1) No matter how I try, no background pattern will appear in my category ‘page’, News, in the main menu. Why not?

2) Why does my single post so far, which should be under only ‘Recent Posts’ in the sidebar, also appear in ‘News’? I could see if I posted in ‘News’ and it also appeared in ‘Recent Posts’ but not the other way around.

Maybe these 2 are WP Support questions, not sure:

3) Pics inserted into pages have links. When clicked they go to the original pic. Fine. I also created a gallery. Those pics have links. When clicked they go to attachment pages. The pic there when clicked goes to the original.
How can I skip the attachment page and go straight to the original? Do I delete the attachment page somehow or other?

4) Pics inserted when go clicked on go to the original pic. Below that pic it says ‘undefined’. Where do I define that or how can I delete ‘undefined?

best
