Unfortunately there are a lot of factors that affect the speed of a site. I've seen this theme installed on more than a handful of sites and didn't notice any issues with speed.

Maybe try a caching plugin? This is a pretty good one: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-super-cache/

Hey Chris

Don't get me wrong the theme is great!

However, myself and my users have reported that the site is quite slow.

Is this because it uses wordpress? rather than reading straight from html?

I understand that the map will be fairly heavy going, but the even opening up other pages can take quite a bit of time sometimes.

My server space should also be okay, as its the same as what I've always used. 123-reg.

Any thoughts?
