This morning I started over. I created a new domain, installed the theme, installed option tree and re-added all of my stuff. I still have the same problem. I have 2 posts on this site, both with featured images using my slider category. In my theme options, I made sure the slider category is selected on the home slider page and have the number of slides set to 2. I made sure all other plug ins are deactivated. The two posts show up on the main page under my menu, but without the picture. Here is the new domain: http://respectproject.hansoncrewdesign.com

Can you please help me to populate the slider?

I have a category named "slider" that is assigned to both posts I have created with my 2 feature images. I assigned the same category under Home Slider in the Theme Options of the Aid theme.

When I selected the aid theme for my site, the Option Tree menu on my dashboard goes away. I can only edit the theme now under Appearance -> theme options. And that is where I have the same category listed as my two posts I am trying to use to populate the slideshow.

Thanks!

It doesn't appear you have any posts assigned to the same category you selected in the theme options panel. Please double-check to make sure you have that configured correctly.

I am new to this theme and am having the same issue Justin had above. I have deactivated all of my other plugins, but Option Tree, and followed the instructions for setting up a feature image and slider category. I still do not have the map image (I have this turned on in Option Tree), no slide show images, and only the spinner on the home page. Any other ideas? My site is http://urp.hansoncrewdesign.com

Thanks!

This appears to have fixed it. In the Advanced Options for the Disqus plugin check the "Output JavaScript in footer" box under "Comment Counts".

It does note that, "Check this if you have problems with the comment count displays including: not showing on permalinks, broken featured image carousels, or longer-than-usual homepage load times."

Found the issue to occur when I have the "Disqus Comment System" plugin activated (even if I have no comments and comments turned off for the slider posts). I'm wondering if you have a workaround so that I can still use Disqus. Thanks!

I've purchased your Wordpress Aid theme but I'm having trouble getting my Home Slider to show up. I've followed your steps: I've created the "Slider" category; I updated the Theme Options to use the "Slider" category for the Home Slider; I created a couple posts with the assigned "Slider" category as well a featured image for each. However, when I view my home page, I see no slider images, no world map background image, and just a spinner. Everything else appears to be fine except this piece. Please assist.
